New DVD Review: “Sunshine Cleaning”: ...

“Sunshine Cleaning” is the latest rescue from the the producers, Jeb Brody and Bob Dohrmann, principal for 2006's indie comedy hit “Seldom Miss Sunshine”. When the talking picture opened earlier this broach it was quickly dismissed by many critics as an venture to recapture the magic of Be nostalgic for Sunshine and it's easy to see why; it has “Sunshine” in it's christen, it stars Alan Arkin who's the patriarch of an bizarre family similar to Misinterpret Sunshine, the main characters allot a significant time riding around in vans and it features a tenet role by a child actor, principled like Miss Sunshine's sparkling Abigail Breslin. And like the Leave out Sunshine, Cleaning's draw features a mixture of comedy and hokey scenes sometimes one leading undeviatingly to to the other. The producers definitely were set on reproducing a successful technique in a new production. The fact that they succeeded is to their honesty not to their detriment, because there is enough unique to Sunshine Cleaning's to mention favourably it on it's own merit.
