Fat Princess review (PS3)
24.08.09
Fat Princess is a multiplayer skirmish game from developer Titan Studios, at one's fingertips exclusively as a download from the PlayStation Network. Its presuppose is simple: you play as one of up to 32 cartoon warriors who against in frantic, bloody multiplayer battles whose objectives roam from classic team deathmatch to the most celebrated, and original, ‘set free the princess’.
At its marrow, Fat Princess boasts a straightforward but very fun multiplayer experience wrapped in a charming, wonderfully elvish sense of style. Though the pastime includes a single-especially bettor story mode called Explanatory note of the Fat Princess, it really only serves as an extended tutorial. The valid fun is in the truly chaotic online matches, where opposite red and blue armies of cartoon fighters disagreement over and over in increasingly bloody battles in attempts to rescue or hold a brief for their captive princesses.
Teams set out on each match in their respective castles—fortresses that can be upgraded with gates or catapults—which check various buildings that class different hats for players to pick up and along. By putting on a hat, your character assumes the hat’s corresponding job. The occupations include the tough warrior, versatile mage, healing clergywoman, crossbow-equipped ranger, and all-noteworthy worker. Choosing which job to use and when is the core of Fat Princess’ key element. You might be tempted to nab a warrior’s helmet and price into the front lines every time, but staying behind as a wage-earner and gathering resources to upgrade buildings or renovation the front gates might serve your party better and garner honourable as many points.
